Indira Gandhi Free Smartphone Yojana (IGFSSY): The Rajasthan government has launched the Indira Gandhi Free Smartphone Yojana (IGFSSY) to empower women and make them digitally literate. Girls and women of the state will be provided free smartphones through this scheme by the state government, in addition to providing smartphones with internet connectivity to the female head of the Chiranjeevi family, this scheme was announced in the budget announcement of the Chief Minister. Along with the women of the state, the girls studying in classes 9 to 12 and college will also be provided smartphones through the Indira Gandhi Free Smartphone Yojana, which will be implemented in the state on August 10, 2023.

The Indira Gandhi Free Smart Phone Scheme has been launched by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot to empower the women of the state and to provide smartphone internet connectivity to the female head of the Chiranjeevi family. Through this scheme, smartphones will be provided to the women of Chiranjeevi family of the state, girls studying in classes 9 to 12 and college and other higher classes. In the state, this scheme will be implemented by the government from 10 August 2023, through this scheme, girls who come to study remotely through the mobile will be protected and the digital knowledge of the girl students will also be increased.
In addition to this, smartphones provided under the Indira Gandhi Free Smartphone Yojana will also be provided free internet by the government for 3 years, under this scheme, smartphones will be distributed through camps in different phases. More than 1 crore 30 lakh women and girls of the state will be provided smart phones through this scheme.

The objective of the Indira Gandhi Free Smart Phone Scheme 2023
The main objective of the Indira Gandhi Free Smart Phone Scheme is to make the women of the state empowered and digitally literate, with the help of the smartphones received through this scheme, all the beneficiary women of the state will be able to get the benefits of the services and schemes run by the state and central government. The female head of the Chiranjiv family of the state will also be provided internet along with a smartphone through this scheme, 22 camps to distribute mobiles will be organized by the government through this scheme at the Panchayat Samiti headquarters. By getting the benefit of Indira Gandhi Free Smartphone Yojana 2023, all the beneficiary women and girls of the state will become self-reliant and empowered, and their quality of life will also improve.
The camps will be held at the block and district levels.
All the women of the state who want to get the benefit of Indira Gandhi Free Smartphone Yojana, all those women will not have to be asked to apply under this scheme. For the implementation of this scheme, camps will be organized by the Government of Rajasthan at the district and block level, all eligible women and girls of the state can apply through these camps.
Apart from this, all those women who go to these camps to apply under this scheme, they will also have to carry their Janadhar card, PAN card, Aadhaar card, PPO number of pension, etc. documents. Apart from this, girls who are getting education from higher educational institutions in government schools, all those girl students will have to carry ID card enrollment card with them in the camps. On the contrary, the family head of such beneficiary girls who are below 18 years of age will have to carry Jan Aadhaar card, Aadhaar card and PAN card to these camps.
Number of beneficiaries under Indira Gandhi Free Smart Phone Scheme
Smartphones will be provided to 30,336 women in Kota district through Indira Gandhi Free Smartphone Yojana 2023, along with smartphones to about 893 women in Etawah, 903 in Kaithoon district, 18279 in Kota South, 7173 from Kota North, 525 in Ramjaganj Gaddi 1101, Sangod 772, Sultanpur. In contrast, a total of 39794 women including 6759 in Etawah, 8390 in Sultanpur, 8534 in Sangod, 5850 in Khairabad 10251 Ladpura will be provided the benefit of Indira Gandhi Free Smart Phone Scheme in rural areas. About 70 thousand 130 women of Kota district will be given the benefit of this scheme in total, while priority will be given to the families of girl students studying in government schools and ITIs to provide the benefit of Indira Gandhi Free Smart Phone Scheme 2023, as well as widows and women working in MGNREGA.
